Those who walk aka cheap backpacking usually often get lost. Understandably, the traveler is not bound to this type of program any event (in contrast with the tourists who use the services of the guide). Not surprisingly, they often lose direction, especially in places where its local foreign language not understood.

I will share experiences and tips to keep enjoying the holiday though was lost.

More memorable experiences

Many people are annoyed and even scared when they get lost in an unfamiliar place (both quiet and noisy). But actually, when it has found its way back, we just get a new experience is impressive. And that experience can be a compelling story to share with friends, when we get home.

So, do not be upset or afraid when lost. Let's say you are enjoying a new experience more memorable.

Finding points of interest

When lost, we may find points of interest, a new, yet written in a guidebook. For example, in Phuket, Thailand, there is the beach of Patong, Kata or Karon beach far away from large crowds. It could be the new place is more beautiful, romantic, and natural.

If you get lost in Penang, Malaysia, for example, we could just find a new food place - that serves Penang with pocket friendly prices. In Bali, we were able to find a remote location with no less beautiful natural attractions with the more famous.

Thus, you will be able to recommend to colleagues about such interesting places. Getting lost would not hurt, right?

Meet other travelers

When you meet with other tourists on a tour, it is common. But if you met them in the unplanned condition, would be more memorable and usually continues into friendship in the long term. Well, your new friend can provide recommendations and tips streets useful to you.

For those of you who are not accustomed to go to foreign places, here are some cheap-festive moment that you can do to minimize the possibility of getting lost:

1. When you visit a place for the first time, it never hurts to prepare a good travel guide book of the series are commonly used, such as Lonely Planet or Frommer's or other tourist brochures that you can get for free in public places.

2. It is better you provide a map of area attractions such as the preparation. You can download maps from the Internet or take free maps are available at some international airports. Do not forget to also take the tourist brochures are provided free of charge.

3. Nowadays, almost all mobile phones have a facility or a global positioning system GPS. Of course this is useful if you get lost in the middle of nowhere and nobody to ask. Hopefully, your phone battery is enough to operate the GPS until you find your way home!
